Cleaning Out The Clutter With GarageKing!
So you've chosen your garage storage solution, while you’re waiting on your shiny new storage instillation, pull everything out one-by-one and decide if you need it, love it, or even want it. Don’t forget those items you have inside that could be stored in the garage, freeing up more space in your home. Sort it into the following piles:

- Donate
- Toss
- Store
- Archive
Think about what items you access daily, weekly, monthly or yearly and group these too.
Make the most of wasted space and install shelves as high as they can go - store items you don’t use very often out of reach.
Consider and work around things attached to the wall – ducted vacuums, for example. Will you build your storage around it, or relocate it elsewhere.
Short people should be able to reach their items as easily as tall people can! Consider your height and the height of those around you!
Assign Sections
Now is the time to decide exactly what items go where.
Clean, Organise, Fill & Store
This is the part you will really love! The part where it all comes together and you start to see the transformation!
Don’t put anything on those sleek new shelves that are dirty or dusty!
Give it all a quick wipe as you put it away.
This is a great time to reassess what else you could get rid of.
If you’re unsure, make a maybe pile. But do not create it and leave it there! Make a commitment to decide within a week to keep it, toss it, donate it, or sell it!
